ASTRAL CHAIN is a new action game from PlatinumGames, coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch! As a member of a special police unit, you are tasked with fighting against mysterious alien beings that are invading your world.

In Ark, a multicultural city in the near future, disaster strikes when portals to another dimension appear. Dangerous beings that emerge from them immediately begin attacking people. In addition, they leave a trail of destruction in their wake, and normal police units are powerless to deal with them. A completely new special police unit, known as Neuron, has been created to combat these threats.

Right from the start, you are given the choice of which of two characters - male or female - you want to experience this adventure as. The character you do not choose will also appear in the game as your younger twin and a member of the Neuron unit.

In order to overcome the pressure of the invaders, humanity has developed a special weapon - Legion. Legion acts as your partner and helps you with the investigation. But the true potential of your Legion will be revealed in battle...

Work together with your Legion and defeat your enemies using different fighting styles. You can attack one enemy together, each one against another, or send your Legion to the front lines while you support them with items. Take advantage of this synergy system to fight and explore together!

There are several different Legions in the game, each with different combat abilities. Players can switch between them at will during battle. In addition to battle, the Legions' abilities can be used during investigation and solving puzzles related to the surrounding environment.

ASTRAL CHAIN is a new action game from PlatinumGames under the direction of developer Takahisa Taura, best known as the game designer of NieR:Automata, and under the supervision of the creator of the Bayonetta series Hideki Kamiya. The character designs are handled by manga creator Masakazu Katsura, whose famous works include ZETMAN and Video Girl Ai.
