A whole new dimension of party games

1-2-Switch is Nintendo’s first game that lets players compete in fun activities while looking into each other’s eyes instead of at a TV screen. From Wild West-style gunfights to copying each other’s dance moves, 1-2-Switch lets you creatively utilize the Nintendo Switch’s vast capabilities to create a truly immersive gaming party anywhere, anytime, with anyone.

A new dimension of control

The versatile Joy-Cons offer a variety of surprising gaming experiences. Two Joy-Cons can be used in one hand or together as a single controller using the Joy-Con grip. They can also be connected to the console in handheld mode or shared with a friend for two-player multiplayer fun in supported titles. Each Joy-Con has its own full set of buttons and can be used as a standalone controller, while also being equipped with an accelerometer and gyroscopic motion sensor, allowing for independent right and left motion control.

The left Joy-Con also features a Capture button that allows players to take instant screenshots of their gameplay with one click and share them with friends via social media. The right Joy-Con features an NFC point for interacting with amiibo figures as well as an IR motion camera capable of detecting the distance, shape and movement of nearby objects in games specifically designed for this feature. For example, this feature can determine how far away the player's hand is and what shape it is forming.

Both Joy-Con also feature an advanced HD rumble feature, which allows players to feel a much more realistic vibration response than ever before in compatible games. This effect is so detailed that players can, for example, feel the vibrations of individual ice cubes inside a glass that the Joy-Con is simulating. Thanks to the HD rumble feature, players will be able to experience a new level of realism, unattainable with just sight and hearing!
