Smiski (pronounced smis-key) is a line of small, glow-in-the-dark figures launched in 2015 by Dreams Inc., the same Tokyo-based studio behind the equally collectible Sonny Angel. The name comes from the Japanese word sumi (ι ), meaning nook or corner β a nod to the brand's central idea that Smiski are mysterious little creatures secretly living in your home, hiding in corners, and only revealing themselves in the dark.
Each figure is sculpted from soft, neutral-faced phosphorescent material. By day they look like minimalist green or blue keepsakes. Charge them under a lamp, flick off the lights, and they glow.
